Answer is C imho

The parallelogram diagonal divides the parallelogram in 2 equal areas.
So total area of parallelogram is 20+20=40 units

Now area = base * perpendicular height
40 = BC* 5
BC = 8 units

Height is 5 so the answer should be
40 = BC * 5
BC = 8 units
