Solution

Step 1- Given and To find
We are given a triangle ABC and we need to find the value of its one angle y.

Step 2: Analysing individual statements

Statement 1: x = 80
    • 2x +y = 180
    • We know x. We can find y easily by solving the equation.
    • Hence, we can find the answer from this statement.

Statement 2: x = 100 – y
    • 2x +y = 180
    • 2(100-y) + y = 180
    • 200 – 2y +y = 180
    • We can find y easily by solving the equation.
    • Hence, we can find the answer from this statement.

Since we can find answer from both the statements, option d is the correct answer.

Correct Answer: Option d
