But, can we assume that n is even?
I think we can since we are talking about factors here. But, just wanted to know other thoughts on this.

I would choose D. Why do you think that statement II is insufficient? Picking numbers strategy works fine in this case.

for example : n =15 , 2n= 30 which has a factor of 30, but 15 doesn't

I. n =sqrt(30) no
n =30 yes
insuff

II. n=15 no
n=30 yes

both
n can't equal 15. n has to be a multiple of 30. thus C. Any other explanaitions would be appreciated.

a sqrt(30,60,90...) insuff.
b 15, 45, 75...insuff
