a. since x is integer, the only way to satisfy statement 1 is to have -ve x.

1) is true from -infinity to +1 (excluded).
2) is true from -infinity to 0 (excluded) and +1 (excluded) to +infinity

combined it's true from -infinity to 0 => must be negative => C

1) X^2(x-1)<0
--> x<1
Suffcieint
2) x(x-1)>0
x>0 and x-1>0 ---> x>1
or x<0 and x-1<0 --> x<0
