Hello everybody,
i was thinking of buying Manhattan foundation of verbal, in order to improve my verbal section on GMAT.
In almost all the mock I took so far I have scored an average of V23-25, and I wanted to know if in your opinion studying 2 weeks( more or less) from foundation of verbal could help me to improve my verbal score from V23 to V30+.
Thank you in advance!
Hello,
Enrik. Although I agree with an earlier poster that a lower baseline Verbal score will allow you to make more significant score increases in a shorter timeframe than would a score that might already be in the upper 30s, two weeks is not a lot of time, especially under pressure, to necessarily turn things around. Many students find the
Manhattan Prep guides useful in their preparation. However, I do not read too many debriefs in which people praise these guides as the miracles they needed to go from "rags to riches in 10 days" or some such. Developing a sound method to tackle Verbal questions of all types takes a lot of effort and practice, and both of those investments typically take a corresponding amount of time. In all likelihood, you will need to spend more than two weeks to make demonstrable progress, with or without the right materials, e-courses, or tutors. I say this not to discourage you, but to urge you to seek to gain a legitimate understanding of what the Verbal section tests, rather than look for a quick fix to prop up your score.
Good luck with your studies.
