Is MN Odd?

Notice that we are not told that M and N are integers.

(1) M even. If N is an integer, then $$MN=even*integer=even$$, so the answer is NO but if $$N=\frac{odd}{M}$$, then $$MN=M*\frac{odd}{M}=odd$$ (for example $$M=2$$ and $$N=\frac{3}{2}$$ --> $$MN=3=odd$$), so the answer is YES. Not sufficient.

(2) N odd. If M=even, then the answer is NO but if M=odd then the answer is YES. Not sufficient.

(1)+(2) MN=even*odd=even, so the answer to the question is NO. Sufficient.

I dont agree with the explanation. It is clearly mentioned than M & N are integers. How can then N be exampled as 3/2.

IMO, the answer is (A). If both M&N are integers, as long as one of them is even the product MN is even.

In the initial post it was not mentioned that M and N are integers. This part was added later.
