E definitely has some issues. When we say - Postal employees desire to open packages out of curiosity, we are actually saying All postal employees desire to open packages out of curiosity. This is not required to be true and hence not an assumption. A better answer choice would be - atleast one/ some postal employees desire to open packages out of curiosity.

It is a mistake to give post office employees individual discretion as to when to inspect or open suspicious packages. If individual employees are allowed to open “suspicious” packages without first following a strict protocol, it is only a matter of time before all packages will arrive having already been opened due to some postal employee’s idle curiosity.

The conclusion above is based on which of the following assumptions?

A. Postal service managers are the only people with the authority to open suspicious packages.

B. Suspicious packages are indistinguishable from all other kinds of package.

C. The efficiency of the postal service will be greatly reduced if more packages are inspected.

D. There is currently no protocol in place for the inspection of suspicious packages.

E. Postal employees desire to open packages out of curiosity.

We can think a different way. As the packages are indistinguishable, so employees open all packages out of curiosity to see whether there has any suspension materials. On the other hand, when they find out suspension packages based on distinguishable, they will not find out all packages, just open the packages which are suspicious. Hence in negate sense, curiosity is not issue.

So I think B is a correct answer. Because when it is positive sense ( indistinguishable), it supports the conclusion ( curiosity), but when negate, it invalids its conclusion. If I make mistakes, kindly help me where I have made mistakes.
