Can someone explain what the benefits of a jd/mba are? is it meant for people who are primarily interested in a MBA and want law on the side or the other way around - lawyers needing a MBA? What kind of jobs can one get with the degree?
Northwestern has a 3yr JD/MBA that only requires GMAT (no LSAT). Is anyone applying to it here? Thanks

I think you find a bit of both: future lawyers who want to better understand business and future businesspeople who want to better understand law. In terms of career options, you pretty much have all the options available to JD grads and MBA grads, but most of the people I know who are JD-MBAs are either going into finance or going to work for a law firm in the corporate/securities law group.
