Solution:


    • Last year’s subscription fee = \($50\).
      o Let \(x\) be last year’s number of subscribers.
    • This year’s subscription fee = \(50 + 10 = $ 60\).
      o This years’ subscriber = \(x – 4\).
    • Revenue of both the year is same
      o \(50*x=60*(x-4)\)
      o \(50*x=60*x-240\)
      o \(50*x-60*x=-240\)
      o \(-10*x=-240\)
      o \(x = 24\)
Hence, the correct answer is Option E.

Fee: $50/customer
# of costumers: a Customer
Revenue: R1= 50a

1st year:
Fee: ($50 + $10) /customer = $60 /customer
# of costumers: (a-4) Customer
Revenue: R2= 60(a-4)

R1=R2
50a=60(a-4)
50a=60a-60*4
10a=60*4

a=24
