Line k passes the two points (-4,-2) and (4,6). Which line is perpendicular to line k and intersects at the point (4,6)?
A. x-y-10=0
B. x+y-10=0
C. x+y-2=0
D. x+y+10=0
E. x-y+10=0;

Plug the values of x=4 & y=6 in the equations. Wherever LHS=RHS, you have your line.

You can always confirm by finding slope of line k (which is most probably 1 as equation B slope is -1)

Again B. Use the slope formula to find that this line has a slope 1. Since the line is perpendicular, it`s slope is the negative reciprocal, or -1. Use the equation of the line formula y=mx+b and plug in to solve (a rough sketch shows that the line crosses the y intercept at 10).

Or save yourself a lot of precious time and backsolve as Vikram suggests, plug the values (4,6) into the equation to get 0.
