Hi guys,
I am looking for some advice. I want to quickly tell you my story. I've done the gmat four times by now. First two times (in 2009) I did because a friend was doing it, but I was not serious about it (got 530 & 540). However last, in December I was serious about it. I got 580 doing really bad on verbal (q43, v28). During this year I attempted to study on my own but was really difficult because of my long-work hours. I quit my job a prep for a month under an intensive program, I felt the program was quite good. On my GMAT prep I got 700 and on Manhattan my Score was between 650-670.
I had my appointment this last thursday. However, on Wednesday (Nov 21) I was not feeling got and decided to get a shot in case a cold or a flu was in my way. I could not sleep the day before the exam (I said typical... it's all about stress!). On the exam I began doing good, but at the end of the quant section I was feeling bad, with an intense headache and stomachache. My score... 590 (q43, v28). Got home feeling really bad and after going to the hospital for a medical examination... I had the dengue fever (also known as breakbone fever), since I live in the tropics, in addition to the worst luck of all times.
I feel that I need to do it one more time, but I want the opinion of people with experience on the subject matter. Issue is I already have depleted Manhattan and GMAP Prep... so how could I prepare or sustain the level prior to this last experience? Help guys... should I retake?? My appointment would be on Dec 20 something and deadlines for 2nd round are closing on Jan 9 for most universities on the US... not sure what to do...
