Many tortoises hibernate each year when the weather gets cold and the plants they eat are in very short supply or no longer available. A tortoise that is about to hibernate needs to have built up enough fat reserves in order to survive through winter until the spring. For a specific tortoise species, the chart shows the arithmetic mean ratio of carapace (upper shell) length to body weight prior to hibernation, as well as the minimum length-to-weight ratio that the tortoise needs in order to ensure the likelihood of surviving until spring.

According to the statistics shown in diagram above.
A tortoise with a carapace length of 220 millimeters should weight 1500 grams to the minimum
While the mean weight of a tortoise with a carapace length of 220 millimeters is 2000 grams

So the first fill up in ;
In order to ensure the likelihood of surviving the winter, a tortoise of that specific species discussed with a carapace length of 220 milli meters should weigh at least 1500 gram grams before hibernation, which is approximately 500 grams grams less than the mean pre-hibernation weight of tortoises of the same carapace length and species.

Will have 1500 gram (at least is same as minimum value)
second will be Mean-Minimum = 2000-1500 = 500 grams

For 220 millimetres carapace length, the minimum weight should be dertmined for the tortoise to survive the winter. The graph clearly mentions it to 1500 grams.

The difference between the mean weight and the minimum weight is (2000-1500) = 500 grams.
