Martin has s marbles more than Keith does, and p fewer than George. If Martin has m marbles, how many marbles do Keith and George have in terms of m, s, and p ?

A. m + s + p
B. m − s + p
C. 3m − s + p
D. 2m − s + p
E. 3m + s − p

Target Question :

Keith + George = ?

Workings:

Martin = m

Keith = m - s

George = m + p

Keith + George = m - s + m + p = 2m - s + p.
