1. The n-th term of an AP is a_n = a + (n - 1)d.
2. Given a = 20, d = 12, and a_n = 128:
128 = 20 + (n - 1) * 12
3. Simplify:
128 = 20 + 12n - 12 → 128 = 8 + 12n
4. Solve for n:
12n = 120 → n = 10
5. Final answer: n = 10, so C. 10.

We are given:
- First day (Day 1): 20 sparrows.
- Every next day: 12 more sparrows than the previous day.
- On the nth day: 128 sparrows.

This is an arithmetic sequence where:
- First term (a1): 20
- Common difference (d): 12
- nth term (aₙ): 128

The formula for the nth term is:
aₙ = a1 + (n-1)d

Substitute the known values:
128 = 20 + (n-1) · 12

Simplify:
128 - 20 = (n-1) · 12
108 = (n-1) · 12
n-1 = 108 / 12 = 9
n = 9 + 1 = 10

Answer: n = 10 (C)

128 - 20 = (n-1) · 12
108 = (n-1) · 12
n-1 = 108 / 12 = 9
n = 9 + 1 = 10

Answer (C)
