I have come a long way with the MBA journey. I have previously took the GMAT twice and both scored pathetically. I need advice on what I should do next. Here's my dilemma: I recently started a new job so I am working full-time and we are required to take a four week training class (which is not too flexible) and with pearson vue not having test dates on weekends, I pretty much can't take the GMAT for the entire month of Feb. After the 4 week training class, I have to go out of town for a week on a business trip. It's not confirmed, but I know I can't schedule for the test date until the end of March.
I am devastated because this will be my 3rd time taking the test and I have been very discourage due to the previous tries. I am not sure if I should even take the test for the 3rd time at the end of march, or should I take a few months off to clear my mind and study for the gmat again. I am a recent college graduate and this new job is a great opportunity for me and I want to give my all as much as I give my all for an MBA. My question is whether I should try for the 3rd time and if it doesn't work out, I take a break and study again, or should I not even tried the 3rd time yet and retake it some time in the near future?

One advantage you have is, you are a fresh graduate & probably still can have time for MBA. What some of my friends in B schools tell me is, quality of work experience is as important as your GMAT, you can't ignore either of them.
For writing GMAT, if you are not feeling confident, I suggest not to give a shot at it. Since, you are telling that this is a new job & you want to make use of it, I think it's better to keep studying everyday for few hours & when you feel confident, take some time off, like 2 weeks, study & write GMAT. I guess the key is to feel confident & comfortable about GMAT.

Exactly. Christin, as you are still young and fresh out of undergrad, I`d suggest that you take a year or so to master your job skills and then come back to your GMAT studies wholeheartedly at a later date...say when you are 24. Most people don`t even begin the application process until they have accumulated at least 3 to 4 years of full time work experience. I know you are targeting UNLV, and you will eventually be accepted, but perhaps building your career is the best call at this point in time. You can always join in on the discussions after work and on the weekends like the rest of us.
