Katie Dunn from the Admissions Committee.

Yeah, conducted by Katie Dunn. Looking at the results of R1 applicants, if one gets interviewed by John, he/she has a greater probability to get an admit. However, I saw few people who were interviewed by Katie Dunn too get an admit.

But again, the people who reported admits are a small sample from the big pool so cannot really rely too much too.

don't be so pessimistic man, we will get thru.
U have applied to so many schools, gud going man. I am still in application stage, thinking of applying to McCombs next. U got any more suggestions for me?

haha, jst a rough analysis; however, im staying positive. I am yet to apply to all the schools... UNC was first of my many applications. I have targeted R2 because I took my GMAT in October. Therefore, I am asking around for suggestions, just like you :)

I don't believe they do...but if I remember correctly, you are supposed to address any outstanding issues in one of the essays. I personally wouldn't recommend omitting something important and having an issue to deal with later. They are very reasonable people and likely will understand whatever issue comes up as long as you are honest about it.

EA applicants, what do we know about financial aid decisions other than "mailed 7-10 days after admittance decisions"?

Some people seem to have been notified, some haven't. I've heard we'll be told regardless of the decision, I've been told we'll only hear anything if we receive $$$. I've been told it's mailed out, I've heard anecdotally they email you.

Deadline is looming and so far I've got an admit from UNC with, as of right now, no financial help and a full ride from PSU.

I'd just like to know definitively from UNC so I can go about making the impossible choice of a decent school with no debt or a great school with a mountain of debt...

I can only tell you about my time line.
13/12 - admit
17/12 - early morning (est) - in the status check website, below the admit decision letter, a new link appeared with 'fellowship decision'
that said I got fellowship, and I will know how much in an email.
17/12 - afternoon - Email from Alison Jesse with $$$ amount and info.
17/12 - evening: Email with loan access for international students.

They may, or may not finished sending loan and fellowship info - you will know when they return from winter break.
I suggest you just ask.

@dormor -you are based in uk aren't you. I used the parcelforce service to send the cheques. it was a bit crazy, my bank was unwilling to do dd or cashiers checks. stay in touch if you are heading to NC.

Received an email today from the admissions office stating that my application is complete and ready to be reviewed by the admissions committee.
Isn't that a little late considering the deadline was almost a month back!!?

I received that email last week!
I'm assuming that they were busy with decision deadlines in December, and then holidays.

Btw, I realised that I haven't sent scores from mba[dot]com to Kenan-Flagler!
I hope that my application still remains 'complete', since I couldn't find it explicitly written anywhere that we have to/do not have to send official scores before applying.

Anyone have an idea?
