In answer choice B after the semicolon the pronoun their is used but as it is after the semicolon and is an Independent Clause how is "their" referring back to "The White Shark"?

Just to be clear, in option B, "their" is not referring to "The White Shark", but to "white sharks" (plural).
This is quite normal Raghu. For example:
