Truck averaging x miles per gallon means 1 gallon drives x miles.
We need the average miles per gallon (miles/gallon), which would be total miles driven divided by total gallons used.
Total miles driven: 20 (city) + 30 (highway) = 50 miles.
In the city, the truck uses 20 miles / 10 mpg = 2 gallons.
On the highway, it uses 30 miles / 25 mpg = 1.2 gallons.
Thus, average mpg is 50 miles/(2 gallons + 1.2 gallons) = 50/3.2 ≈ 15.something mpg.
Answer: A.
