In a model of automobile performance, Car A travels exactly 10 kilometers per liter of fuel, and Car B travels exactly 15 kilometers per liter of fuel. According to this model. Car A requires exactly F more liters of fuel than Car B to travel exactly N kilometers.

Car A requires exactly F more liters of fuel than Car B to travel exactly N kilometers.
Fuel required by Car A with mileage 10km/h = \(\frac{N}{10}\)
Fuel required by Car B with mileage 15km/h = \(\frac{N}{15}\)
Extra fuel required by A = \(\frac{N}{10}-\frac{N}{15}=F......\frac{N}{30}=F...N=30F\)
From options 9000=30*300, thus F=300 and N=9000

General Discussion

Either we can choose to have F value that must be on the lower side or N value that must be on the higher side.
We can say that either:
1. B is 50% more efficient than A mileagewise
2. B travels 1.5 times of what A does.
3. A uses 3/2 of the fuel that B uses.
Note that F is a number that denotes a difference between two possible numbers, whereas N denotes an absolute number.
Thus, choosing value of N makes much more sense.
Therefore, we can check for extreme values here.
Let N = 15000
then B takes 1000 liters and A takes 1500.
Hence F = 1500 - 1000 = 500.
But 500 is not among the choices. Do note that from here onwards if we go down taking value of N as 9000 the value of F would also go down and the only value that we have less than 500 is 300. We can thus either mark F as 300 here and find N later by checking for N = 9000 or check for N = 9000 which anyway gives us required values
i.e. F = 300 and N = 9000.
