I dont think the option A would have been correct even if the word "Many" was used instead of 'Some".

The reason being even if - "All the experts find motorbikes less than 150 cc are not less prone to causing accidents than motorbikes more than 150 cc."

Would mean M.B < 150cc = MB >150cc in causing accidents , which is kind of challenging the premise and eventually the conclusion does not hold good.

An assumption along with the premise leads to the conclusion.

Please let me know your thoughts.
You're right, if we slightly modify the answer choice (A):
(A) Many experts find motorbikes less than 150 cc are not less prone to causing accidents than motorbikes more than 150 cc.
It weakens the plan by suggesting that cc doesn't affect accident likelihood. It doesn’t support the assumption; in fact, it goes against it

Hi
Can someone please explain how restricting the 18-21 age group to drive less than 150 cc reduces accidents when speedsters find less than 150 cc worthless? Is there a typo error? Also, how did we reach answer E?

Thanks in advance!

Hi AG2103

Since motorbikes less than 150 cc are worthless to speedsters, the State Transport Officer plans to reduce the number of accidents committed by the 18-21 age group by restricting them to drive motorbikes less than 150 cc.

Lets me try to help

Author's presents a premise that less than 150cc is worthless but doesn't say anything whether speedsters drive or not drive these worthless 150cc. Then he presents STO plan to restrict speedsters of 18-21 age, thinking that this action will reduce the no. Of accidents committed by this age group.

Now think putting yourself in STO shoes, why would he restricting, he assumes that less than 150cc is worthless so these speedsters will not drive this one, and they were using 150 or above bikes. Right?

With this thinking option E perfectly matches because the negated one says that the speedsters were using less than 150cc and the accidents are happening and even if they will be restricted to this limit, there will not be impact on no. Of accidents

Hope this helps
