Hi everyone, quick update from ApexMBA 👋

One thing we kept noticing while helping MBA applicants is that many people have strong profiles, but struggle to connect their experiences into one clear story.

So we built Apex Story Builder. A guided self-discovery and story-building workspace designed specifically for MBA applicants.

It helps applicants:

1. define their identity and goals
2. structure their “Why MBA” narrative
3. build a reusable story vault
4. connect experiences into a cohesive application narrative before writing essays

You can try it for free here:
https://story.apexmba.com/

Would genuinely love to hear your thoughts and feedback from the community.

On Stanford's "What matters most to you, and why" — the essays that work go small and specific, not grand. Answers like "family" or "impact" are where most drafts stall, because they could belong to anyone. The strong ones name one concrete moment that shows the value in action, then trace why it matters through actual decisions you've made since. If your answer could be copy-pasted into another applicant's essay, it's still too abstract.

Hi fellow Stanford GSB hopefuls, As a former Stanford GSB admissions director, I know exactly how high the bar is for the 'What Matters Most' essay and your overall leadership profile. I’ve developed a free tool, https://mbai.app?ref=gmatclub, to help applicants see how they measure up against the GSB's specific evaluation dimensions like intellectual vitality and leadership impact. It’s a simple way to spot red flags in your candidacy before you hit submit this fall. If you want a direct take on your profile from my perspective, run the assessment and post your score and stats here. I'll be happy to provide some feedback on how you can strengthen your strategy for the GSB committee. Best of luck to everyone, Mike
