I believe 2 things:
1) Deadline of EA will be around date 17 Sept and Deadline of Round 1 will be around date 20 Oct
2) 2 essays : 25 Random things and Why Fuqua or 1 of 6 principles will be not changed. or at least 25 Random things

Like " What matter most to you " of Stanford and " Who are you " of Booth. They give these essays year after year. So you guys can start writing them now if made Fuqua first or top choice.
My time is tight so I cannot prepare app properly if apply EA so I go for Round 1. Good luck everyone.

Would it be appropriate to create a separate thread for Re-applicants?

It would be particularly helpful to chat with re-applicants for Class of 2018 or even re-applicants admitted into Class or 2016/2017 about doing the 25 Random Things essay for the second time, the re-applicant essay, and general re-applicant strategy.

The essay is about 25 random things about you. I think when someone reads 25 random things about you, he or she can visualize who you are and how you are. If he or she keeps interesting to know more about you then u have chance to get into the interview There are some Fuqua students/ Alumni who wrote their 25 random things on blog. You can google.

I think U can make a new thread by yourself and call other friends who are the same your situation. I love to discuss with friends who are the same boat too. But i am not sure who are interested

What are the pros and cons of R1 Vs EA excluding the point that EA is binding.. I love Fuqua and will be more than happy to join in EA.

As you already aware, EA is binding, which means you are committing upfront that you will matriculate to Fuqua regardless of whether you get a scholarship or not.

Before making that commitment, I strongly recommend understanding the culture at Fuqua and your fit into its culture, as well as how Fuqua would position you towards your goals. I was as EA applicant myself, and I talked to a number of students and alums before committing myself.

Some Pro vs Cons (I am trying to remain unbiased ) of applying to EA.

Pros
1) Your chances of admission are slightly higher as compared to other rounds.
2) You will have your admission decision pretty early (end oct), which will enable you to plan your transition to b-school in a better manner.
3) Adcoms need lesser convincing that you are really passionate about coming to Fuqua (since you have already committed).

cons
1) You will have to matriculate with or without scholarship.
2) You have to make a slightly bigger deposit upfront ($3000 vs $2000).
