Hello,
I took the GMAT twice and I got 540. My results are detailed below. The results are taken from the Enhanced Score Report.
Obviously CR and RC are my 2 weaknesses. As for the Quant section, I need to get over the silly mistakes and I'll be fine I guess.
There was 9 months between the 2 attempts and I used the material below:
What are the best online courses to enhance my CR and RC and even increase my Quant Score?
I would not mind purchasing the online courses from different vendors. My main goal is to register to the best course by every vendor.
For instance, what is the best course for RC? What is the best course for CR, etc. ?
I am planning to retake the GMAT in early January.
First Attempt
GMAT Total Score: 540
Verbal Score: 21 - better than 26%
Critical Reasoning: 20 - better than 25%
Reading Comprehension: 12 - better than 8%
Sentence Correction: 32 - better than 64%
Quant Score: 44 better than 58%
Problem Solving: 43 - better than 55%
Data Sufficiency: 45 - better than 60%
Arithmetic: 46 - better than 63%
Algebra/Geometry: 41 - better than 49%
Second Attempt:
GMAT Total Score: 540

Since your Overall Scores are identical, and the Quant/Verbal Scaled Scores are relatively close, this proves that you essentially performed the same way both time you took the GMAT. To score at a much higher level, you'll need to make some significant changes to how you handle BOTH the Quant and Verbal sections.
Many Test Takers who use a 'book heavy' study approach end up getting 'stuck' at a particular score level, so you'll likely end up needing to invest in some new non-book resources. You already seem comfortable with that idea though, so now it's just a matter of defining your overall goals and finding the resources that best match your needs.

2) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
3) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

1. My goal score is at least 680
2. I am planning to apply in January 2017 - Round 2
3. I am planning to pursue an Executive MBA at top ranking universities such as UC Berkeley, London Business School, etc.
I will keep studying till I get the score!
