Just for the concept clarification - Does anyone know how to determine the coordinates of point (p,s) in the following diagram?
Any reference for more this type of questions? Appreciate your help.

I don't see a way to calculate it exactly.
If the vertical line is perpendicular to the x axis (i.e. it's 'straight up and down'), you'd know that (p,s) was directly above (4,0). That is, you'd know that its x coordinate was 4.
In your diagram, the circle is tangent to (touching) the x axis, but not the y axis. It also isn't clear whether (p,s) is the center of the circle. If both of those things were true, the coordinates would be (4,4), as described in stonecold's post above.
But as it stands, there are too many unknowns to draw any clear conclusions. You do know that p and s are positive, because you can assume that points are in the quadrant they're drawn in.
