1. Subjunctive verb is always plural

2. After causative verb (have, get and make) main verb will be in basic form.

3. 'Would rather that' is used to present subjunctive
She would rather that the plane leave (NOT ‘leaves’) early in the morning.
4. Had better (do) use to express recommendation, desperate hope, and warning. In this case verb would be in simple form)
That bus had better get here soon! Desperate hope
P.S.: Contraction: You’d better not do that.
5. After modal verb will be in basic form (no ’s/ ’es for third person singular number)
Tom can go to the gym in the evening Tom will go to gym in the evening. Tom may go to gym in the evening.
6. After word ‘does’, verb should be in simple form.
Deglar does more than merely summarize existing research; he constructs a coherent picture of two centuries of studies dealing with the changing roles of women.
7. ‘Likely’ doesn’t have any bearing on SV agreement.
Astronomers have determined that at least one asteroid weighing about 130,000 metric tons flies very close to Earth about every 40 years and that one likely hits the planet about once every 1,200 years.
Collected at different time from different sources, which I can not specify now. If you have any observation, please put forward.
