i find it difficult to read the problem but i guess it shoud be 22,000.


= 6,000 + 10,000 + 6,000 = 22,000.

I got it!
Now it seems kind of obvious
I tried to do problems after waking up from a nap-my mind is still asleep.
I understand now DUH:)

B. 22,000

we have 10,000 as the distance between the lights. Lights are 8,000 feet away from the track, and the radius is 10,000. So, it forms a 3:4:5 triagle.

Therefore, 10,000+2*6,000=22,000
