I feel as if there is no cut and dry technique for answering this question, I may be wrong.
Let me know what your answer was?
Clearly the first statement provides us with no information about X.
Statement two creates various scenarios where the ratios could be higher or lower. Again, I could not seem to find information about the part-time employees for X.

A i think is sufficient, if they can only be x or y and the ratio for y is less than total then ratio for x must be > total to balance it out.
B is a bit nasty, but not suff as we don't have a ratio between x and y.
