It's an isosceles triangle: two of the angles are equal, so the two sides opposite those angles are also equal. So XY = XZ.
There's no need to do more for this particular question, but we also know here the three angles sum to 180, so we can solve for a, and learn that the angles are 40, 70, and 70 (which proves that C and D are false).
