Concepts used:
1) Sum of 2 sides in a triangle is greater than 3rdside.
2) Pythagoras theorem
3) Angle in a semicircle is 90 deg.
Solution:
Join AC
Now, Consider triangle ACD
AC<AD+CD
AC<2+2
AC<4
In triangle ABC
AB^2 +AC^2 = BC^2
4^2+AC^2= BC^2
Since AC<4
BC^2<4^2+4^2
BC^2 <32
BC<4*root2
Radius = BC/2 <2*root2
R< 2*1.414
R< 2.828
Only Option 1 is less than 2.8. Hence A is the answer
