Average hourly wage of male employees = 9.97 $
Average hourly wage of female employees = 10.37 $
Average hourly wage of all employees = 10.12 $
Let number of male employees = m
number of female employees = f
10.12 = (9.97m + 10.37f ) / m+f
=>10.12m + 10.12f = 9.97m + 10.37f
=> .15m = .25f
=> m/f = .25/.15 = 5/3

9.97 --- 10.12 ----- 10.37
The overall average is .15 more than male average and .25 lesser than female average
so the ratio of distances is 3:5
Number of employees will be in inverse proportion - 5:3
