What is the measure of angle AED minus the measure of angle ABE?
(1) The measure of angle BAE = 30.
(2) The sum of the measures of angles ABE and AEB is 150.

We know that exterior angle = sum of opposite two interior angles
Hence angle AED = angle ABE + angle BAE
or angle AED - angle ABE = angle BAE
I. angle BAE = 30
Therefore, angle AED - angle ABE = 30 =>Sufficient
II. angle ABE + angle AEB = 150
We know from triangle ABE,
angle AEB + angle ABE +angle BAE = 180
or angle BAE = 180 - (angle AEB + angle ABE)
or angle BAE = 180 - 150 = 30
Therefore, angle AED - angle ABE = 30 =>Sufficient
Answer : D
Hence angle AED = angle ABE + angle BAE
or angle AED - angle ABE = angle BAE
I. angle BAE = 30
Therefore, angle AED - angle ABE = 30 =>Sufficient
II. angle ABE + angle AEB = 150
We know from triangle ABE,
angle AEB + angle ABE +angle BAE = 180
or angle BAE = 180 - (angle AEB + angle ABE)
or angle BAE = 180 - 150 = 30
Therefore, angle AED - angle ABE = 30 =>Sufficient
Answer : D

Pre Analysis:
- We are asked the value of \(\angle AED-\angle ABE\)
- Let us assume \(\angle AED=x\) and \(\angle ABE=y\), then we need the value of x - yAttachment:

- IMPORTANT INFERENCE:
- Information in both the statement is practically the same
- Therefore, we can straight away eliminate options A, B and C
Statement 1 or 2:
- \(\angle BAE+\angle AEB+\angle EBA=180\)
\(⇒30+(180-x)+y=180\)
\(⇒-x+y=-30\)
\(⇒x-y=30\)
Hence the right answer is Option D
