Consider using question/time markers for time management. Your average time per question in Q4 Verbal was 1:05, for example. The average time you spent on RC may be worth looking at as well.

Quote:
I took the test on July 26 and scored a 630 - Q45 V31 - well below my target score (730).

Person below went from a V31 to a V40 in about 30 day on a retake. They took a bit of tutoring (6hrs solving approach) but mention a variety of free resources/quick tips you can check out. They ended up with a 740.

Hi TheBipedalHorse,

I'm sorry to hear that Test Day did not turn out better. Your Official Score is remarkably similar to your first CAT/mock Score - so it's likely that you developed some 'bad habits' over the course of your studies that kept you from scoring higher. Thankfully, the GMAT is a consistent, predictable Exam, so you CAN train to score at a higher level. Before we discuss the data in your ESR, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

1) How long did you study before taking the GMAT - and what type of study routine have you been following over the last 4 weeks (since you took the Exam)? How many hours do you typically study each week?
2) What study materials have you used so far? What “brands” of CATs/mocks have you used?
3) On what dates (or approximate dates) did you take EACH of your CATs/mocks and how did you score on EACH (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores for EACH)?
4) When are you planning to apply to Business School and what Schools are you planning to apply to?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

Brent,

First of all, thank you very much for your response. Yes, I felt rushed at the end, I was wondering how do I overcome that challenge. I shall go through the article you shared

That being said, I was wondering how can I interpret my ESR score effectively? Do you have any articles in your collection that could help me on this matter?

Thanks!

Here's an article on interpreting ESRs: GMAT Enhanced Score Report (GMAT ESR): Do I Need It?
