We can use a 2*2 matrix to solve this question. We have to find the probability that the selected test-taker is a working woman.
Statement 1
(1) 30% of the test-takers are women
We don't have information on the number of working women. Also, the data provided by statement 1 doesn't provide sufficient information to find so.
The statement alone is not sufficient. Eliminate A and D.
Statement 2
(2) 80% of the women test-takers are working
As the number of working women and the total population, are not known we cannot find the required probability. Hence, we can eliminate Bt.
Combined
From statement 1, we have a relationship between the number of women and the total population. From statement 2, we have a relationship between the number of working women and the number of women. Hence, we can find the required probability.
