Hi Foxtrot109649,

Foxtrot109649
I possess older Official Guides from 2022. However, considering the changes in the GMAT format, would it be advisable to invest in the new GMAT OG for 2023-2024?
The new GMAT is (mostly) a subset of the old GMAT, so you can still use your 2022 guides. However, you'll have to spend some time deciding which questions to do. In that sense, the 2023 or 2024 guides will help you save some time. The online platform will also give you access to a few "verbal DS" questions, which you won't get with the 2022 guides.

Just in case you decide to use the 2022 or start with the 2022, don't do any SC/geometry questions. You can use the file I've attached to this post to filter DS questions.

With a six-month window, can I effectively build my skills, especially given my limited math background?
6 months sounds good, but you should set some progress markers anyway.

I plan to schedule the test for late December or early January, leveraging my current work-from-home situation.
Sounds good. Just make sure that you have a good idea about your application deadlines. Maybe take the GMAT early so that you can retake if necessary.

Hi Ajitesh, thanks for your reply!

You're right, progress markers are key. I'm planning to follow the Target Test Prep course, then use GMAT Club tests to gauge my improvement. The official GMAT will be my final benchmark.

Ideally, I'd take the test sooner, but my current scores necessitate a back-to-basics approach. As I mentioned, my non-math background makes quant a challenge. Regardless, I'm determined to succeed.

This forum has been incredibly helpful. Thanks again!
