Over the past three years, I have been actively engaged with the GMAT Club. Despite my consistent efforts to prepare, unforeseen circumstances prevented me from actually taking the exam. During this time, I completed several mock tests, with scores ranging from 500 to 600. Recently, I attempted the GMAT Focus Edition mocks and achieved a modest score of 510. Reflecting on my previous GMAT attempt, I managed a score of 550.In my earlier preparation, I utilized
Target Test Prep, appreciating its structured approach to study materials. Now, as I embark on my GMAT journey once again, I have a few key questions:
- GMAT Official Guides (OG):
- I possess older Official Guides from 2022. However, considering the changes in the GMAT format, would it be advisable to invest in the new GMAT OG for 2023-2024?
- Preparation Timeline:
- With a six-month window, can I effectively build my skills, especially given my limited math background?
- I plan to schedule the test for late December or early January, leveraging my current work-from-home situation.
My ultimate goal is to achieve a competitive score that will facilitate a career transition. Here’s to turning things around this time!
