Does anyone else have issues seeing the (+) symbol in questions like these on official practice exams? its happened more than once where the + sign looks like a division symbol. I have missed many easy questions due to reading this as a division symbol instead of +. Should i just assume that the GMAT wont use division symbols like that?

One thing you could try is highlighting the symbol with your cursor.

Looking at your screenshot, I can totally see how it looks like division 😣
There is always a bit of a risk with formula-heavy questions. I was somewhat paranoid about them when taking the GMAT. AT the test center, I found the monitor sitting quite far from me, and at low resolution so it was grainy but big. Highlighting is one option (when it works). I found most of the time GMAT would have division done as a fraction.
This can also be the display distortions at certain zoom levels in the browser. I know on GMAT Club at 110%, some icons have a strike through them for unknown reasons. They don't display those at 125% or 100%. Kind of nutty.
