This question is typical of GMAT Data Insights questions in that it gives us an opportunity to go wrong by mixing up topics. So, we have to be careful to notice that we are looking for the "transport type" with the greatest range in commute times and not the "campus" with the greatest range in commute times.

To find that transport type, we can begin by eyeballing the graph to eliminate some easy outs. Doing so, we see that we can eliminate Bike, Walking, and Car because their columns are all relatively close in length.

Having done so, we can choose Public Transport without doing any calculations since Public Transport, whose column for Campus C is significantly taller than its column for Campus B, is clearly the type with the greatest range.

For the first dropdown, select  Public Transport .

Public Transport Highest Average: Campus C - 30

Public Transport Lowest Average: Campus B - 18

Public Transport Range: 30 - 18 = 12
