I guess C.

Stat 1: When they meet depends on the value of x. insuff.

Stat 2: When they meet depends on how much time Paul spends per room. inusff.

Stat 1 & 2:

2/3 = (x-10)/x
x= 30.
Now we can figure out when they meet by using x in stat 1. Suff.

stem asks about the room they meet each other so why A cannot be the answer


You are right. I got lost somewhere along the way. I believe the answer should be A.

Stat 1:

If the ratio of time spent by L per room and the ratio of the time spent by P per room is constant (2/3) they will meet in room K regardless of x. Suff.

Stat 2:
If P spends 30 min per room and L spends 20 min per room then they meet in room K

If P spends 15 min/room and L spends 5 min/room then they meet in room N.

Insuff.

Do note that for (B) If Paul spends 10 minutes in each room and Lisa spends 10 minutes less in each room (i.e. 10-10 = 0) thus the meeting point is room R !

Clearly insufficient !
