Hey all,
Not a lot of traffic on the 2007-08 waitlist sticky thread, so I'd like to ask these questions on the open forum. Regarding my first waitlist letter:
1) Should I spend more time talking about why school X is my top choice? Or more time convincing them why they'll benefit from taking me?
2) I think I'm coming from an underrepresented industry that thrives on an interesting business model. Am I stretching a little too far to use my experience in this industry and insight regarding the b-model as one of the ways that I'll bring uniqueness to the program?
3) They've emphasized that we keep waitlist letters short. Is it better to just list out bulleted points, or write it as a formal essay? I can see bullets being very effective, but I keep reading about people writing 2-4 page essays to update the committees. ???
Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks!
