1BF: May be TENDENCY or PREDICTION an OUTCOME

Focus on 2nd BF.
The second is CONSIDERATION (After review fact) AGAINST CONTEXT or PREDICTION. 2ND can not be Conclusion or Evidence to support conclusion.

Only C makes sense.

I think its A.

BF1: plant scientists... --> background info (not so much evidence)
BF2: thus, for most farmers --> conclusion

I dont think it is C, because the 'consideration' that weighs against that prediction (conclusion) is that, 'since consumer demand...continues to rise, the use of genetically engineered seeds is likely to become widespread.'
