Re: During the past fifteen years historians of Mexican-American [#permalink]
Great Job folks. Here are the OA's

BCDDBCBAD

I beleive last two people did quite well in this RC.
One thing which is intriguing me is that Iam taking less time than others in doing these Rc's. I am not sure if what iam doing is good or not. But one major goal for me ,during my last preparation for GMAT, has been to improve my focus and speed in rc/cr questions.
I finished reading this RC in 4-5 minutes and did the questions in another 6 minutes.
I did 5th and 6th question wrong.
While going through the answers, i realized that 5th was a very smart question.. Only in the second last line of this long passage, it says that texas is currently having second largest population. From here, we can infer the answer B. Otherwise also, if we work by POE, no other choice is correct..but In the heat of the moment, like many others, I picked C. But if we check it now carefully, C is too broad. Last two people had this Q correct..kudos to them..because I beelive it is a very subtle question..and u need to keep your eye OPEN till the end of the passage and infer everything fast to do such questions.
We all did 6th question incorrect. It was again one of those tough except questions + choice C is something we tend to assume true because it was mentioned about in the passage. But if you guys read that part carefully, no where has been it mentioned that book describes the effect of mexican revolution on los angeles. Only author of this passage mentions that many mexicans left mexico after the revolution..so book doesnt mention the effect.
See the subtlelity in these kind of questions..under time pressure they force you to pick wrong choices.. it's in questions like these that men are separated from boys. :-D
good luck folks.
