Just not understanding the OA. A very simple question however I got it wrong.

Medals are to be awarded to three teams in a 10-team competition. If one medal is gold, one medal is silver, and one medal is bronze, how many different ways are there to award the three medals to teams in the competition?

A) 10!/7!
B) 10!/3!7!
C) 10!/3!
D) 7!/3!
E) 7!/4!3!

Permutations formula..n!/(n-k)! n=10, k=3

Or simply: 10 teams to choose from for gold, 9 for silver, 8 for bronze so 10*9*8, which is 10!/7!

Simple but basic problem to understand combination vs permutation

Since medals are distinct >> order matters >> use permutation.

If medals are not distinct >> order does not matter >> use combination.
