tr = (t+12) (6r/7)

t = 72 minuets (1 hr 12 min)

little differently:
d/(6v/7) = t+12
d/v=t
7/6t-t=12
t=72 min = 1h12min

A rule you can follow:

When something moves at factor F of the usual speed, the usual time to cover the distance becomes 1/F x T

So, coming to solution:

The Man travels at 6/7th of speed, hence time taken becomes 7/6xT, where T is the usual time.

Now, 7/6T - T = 12 minutes

or, T/6 = 12 minutes --> T = 72 minutes = 1 hr 12 min

An easier way to solve this without writing any equations is to look for the answer that is divisible by 7

A - 1 hr = 60 minutes + 12 = 72
B - 1 hr 12 min = 72 minutes + 12 = 84 (yes)
C - 1 hr 15 min = 75 minutes + 12 = 87
D - 1 hr 20 min = 80 minutes +12 = 92

So B is the only answer that works
