Aren't you also supposed to add 'Neither'?

I though the total formula follows as:

Group1 + Group2 + Neither - Both = Total

Yes, the formula has 'Neither' but note here that we are given that Neither (or None) = 0

In school V, all students must take at least one of Mathematics, Physics, or Biology.

Hence, there is NO student who takes none of the three subjects. Hence None = 0. Every student must take at least 1 of the 3 subjects.
