This is a very curious question.

(A) poachers do not kill sambhars for any reason other than to obtain their horn
I'd pick (A) in my first glance too. However it is not really an assumption, since it already says a sambhar with no horn is worthless to poachers. So I'm looking for other reasons that poachers could kill the sambhars. (C) has nothing to do with the question. (D) sounds good, but still have nothing to do with protecting the animal from poachers. (E) is simply something else. So I came back and read (B) once again, (and again,) and realize that poachers could kill sambhar if they pose a danger to them.

So now my choice is (B).

Even though it is worthless in terms of dollars - they can kill them for their meat or just because it makes hunting interesting

Hmmm you are right. Even if they kill them because they are a threat, it is still a reason other than to obtain their horns. So you all are right. (A) it is.

(A)

The other options seem irrelevant.
