Isn't it amazing that we'll have to know all these and many more? Albeit, i believe it's worth the effort, not just for the exams, but for the future. thanks Roc.

Meanwhile, Just as..., so... is the rule!

Great stuff :beer

I can't believe that it has taken me all this while to discover this link. I'd encourage everyone to take enough time to review the various forums. It looks like there's more information here than most of us have imagined.

I can hear my SC improving already :-D

Hi,
i don't think the following is a correct Idiom according to GMAT rules.
"given credit for being ". You may have to double check it.

Probably some overlap... however, I made a list of typical comparative constructions specially from og 11th edition. just to get an idea of how gmat writers construct their sentences.

Comparative constructions

- x is more than y
- x is lower than y
- in contrast with x, y
- in contrast to x, y
- unlike x, y
- the same to x as to y
- the same to someone … as to a person
- x as much as y
- to credit x with
- x is expected to y
- so x that y
- x happened so that y could happen
- the rivalry between x and y
- the rivals x and y
- require x to do y
- not only x … But also y
- if x happened, then y would happen
- attributes x to y
- x is attributed to y
- use x as y
- not x, but rather y
- order x to be y
- order that x be y
- just as x, so y
- both x and y
- view x as y
- y will happen if x happens first
- if x happens, y will happen
- persuaded x to do y

Some typical idioms from OG 11th I found useful:

- as many as
- estimated to be
- in danger of
- depends on whether
- not so much as
- targeted at
- as a means to
- aid in healing
