The figure above shows the floor plan and inside dimensions of the ground level of a building. If all lines that intersect meet at right angles, what is the total floor area of this level of the building?

(1) QR = 4 meters
(2) PQ is less than QR.

We know that 13+PQ+4=20, since all line segments in the upper side of the plan are parallel to those in the bottom. Thus, the Logical approach to this question will focus on finding what QR is. This will allow us to represent the area of the floor as the sum of several rectangles and calculate it.
Statement (1) gives us exactly that, so it is enough on its own. Answer choices (B), (C) and (E) are eliminated.
Statement (2) is not enough (note that the question doesn't state whether QR's length is an integer). Answer choice (D) is eliminated.
The correct answer is (A).

Please correct me if I am wrong, in S2 analogy you have mentioned to note that it is not given that QR's length is an integer, my doubt is had it been given that QR's length is an integer, still the answer would have been A. Reason being QR could have been any (integer) number greater than 3 and would yield multiple results and thereby multiple answers to the main question - area of the total picture
