The population of a city doubles every twenty-five years. If the population was \(10^5\) in 1826, what was it a century later in 1926?

(A) \(2(10^5)\)

(B) \(4(10^5)\)

(C) \((2^4)(10^5)\)

(D) \((10^4)(10^5)\)

(E) \(8(10^5)\)
1 century = 4( 25 years)

Thus, population after a century will be 2^4(10^5), Answer will be (C)
