Tin + cookies = 2.....(i)
Tin + $$\frac{1}{4}$$cookies = 0.8......
subtract from (i)..
$$\frac{3}{4}$$cookies = 1.2.....
so cookies$$= 1.2*\frac{4}{3} = 1.6...$$
therefore TIN $$= 2-1.6 = 0.4$$

.8 is the weight after 3/4 cookies are eaten. Since there is no change in weight of can, weight of 3/4 cookie is 1.2 (2-.8)

Total cookie weight = 1.2*4/3= 1.6

Tin weight= 2-1.6 = .4
