ans is...

A

there should com ''increase'' after the non-underlined part as it says ''30 -40 fold'' and that can be only an increase not an i Incidence...

so D an E are out ... between A B and C ... A is the best cos of idiomatic expression by increasing resistance of mosquitos against''

hope that helps !

Have fun

the underline should start from "increase"

My answer is B "resistance to" is correct usage
and when quantifying the increase, the usage is either "twice" or "two fold increase"

has been ... left us with passive voice which needs "by".

only A and D followig this rule.

D - changed the word order

A - Best.

But "Resistance to" is right idiom.

but i still stick to A, which is best choice here.

Between the choices, we can narrow it to (A) and (B). (B) would be more correct with the resistance to. Resistance would already mean against, so the against pesticide in (A) would be somewhat redundant. So (B) would be my choice.

p.s. we often say resistant to changes, resistant to flu etc...

In A mosquito is incorrectly modifying resistance. So A is wrong.

B is the best answer.

Think for yourself, what do you mean by "mosquito resistance"

1 min and B.

C,D & E are clearly out. In A "caused" is not clear refers to "malaria" or "increase"

D, E - 'incidence of malaria increase' is incorrect
C- 'increasing malaria incidence' is incorrect
BEtween A and B, B is better because it has 'resistence to' instead of 'resistence against' in A and also 'incidence of malaria because of' instead of 'incidence of malaria caused by'
