Given:
Men together can paddle at maximum speed of 14 mph
Downstream current of 6 miles per hour.
Distance of camp to the waterfall - 24 miles

Derived from given information:
Cumulative Upstream Speed at which the men can paddle together = 14 - 6 = 8 mph
Cumulative Downstream Speed at which the men can paddle together = 14 + 6 = 20 mph

Time taken to go upstream to the waterfall = 24/8 = 3 hours
Time taken to go downstream from waterfall to camp = 24/20 =6/5 hours = 72 minutes = 1 hour 12 minutes

Total Time = 3 hours + 1 hour 12 minutes = 4 hours 12 minutes

Answer is C. 4 hours 12 minutes
